dont tell any greenies

I like to think I am a socially responsible type. I separate my rubbish, I bring home my shopping in my reusable bags (wayne cooper and leona edmiston ones from Myer! I feel so glam when I am buying toilet paper from Coles), I walk whenever I can instead of driving, I do...other good stuff...really!

But in order to buy myself 30 minutes of peace I did something I know is wrong in these water-tight times. I let Mr 2.5 out the back to play with a running hose. Ooh I did feel guilty but it was a good guilty because I got to drink a nice coffee and read my marie claire in peace (the girl is sleeping too for now).

And then he got wet so I let him take all his clothes off and play IN THE SUN! Heaven forbid, I can almost see those skin cancers growing. I know this is wrong but he was quiet. It was only 20 minutes or so. And he has olive skin thanks to his anglo-asian heritage (thanks for the permanent tan mum).

And as the water went all over my pavers did I care? NO! I was so glad I had some peace. And yes I wont be feeling so good when we all run out of water and we all starve and my sun has to have moles cut out but oh boy my coffee never tasted so good - and just plain old home Moccona too!
